# SelectionMode

> SelectionMode — CometChat documentation.

`MessageListAlignment` describes the positioning or arrangement of message bubbles in the component

| Name     | Description                                                                                                                                            |
| -------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| left     | The message bubbles will be positioned on the left side of the chat window.                                                                            |
| standard | The sent message bubbles will be positioned to the right side and the received message bubbles will be positioned to the left side of the chat window. |
